Indoor Cycling Class Descriptions

Endurance Ride: 65-75% of Max HR – Even application of energy for sustained periods. An endurance ride trains your body to be more efficient at metabolizing fat and maintaining a comfortable pace for extended periods.

Strength Ride: 75-85% of Max HR – Develop muscular endurance and cardiovascular power. The strength ride involves steady, consistent pedaling with heavy resistance. This ride will make your muscles burn from lactic acid build-up and stimulate tissue breakdown. Followed by adequate rest, your muscles will become stronger and more able to adapt.

Interval Ride: 65-92% of Max HR – Speed, tempo, timing and rhythm. Interval rides cover the entire training range of heart rates. This ride will help you develop the ability to work at high intensity levels, to improve recovery rates.
